The Gates Final Assessment
So I watched the Season premiere of The latest Fantasy show called The Gates. And After the first 17 minutes I'm thinking Hmmmm...This isn't at all what I was expecting from this show. Not because it the most exciting thing that I had seen, but because I was getting kind of lost due to all that was going on in the show. There were just too many issues going on and too many things wrong with the show.Without giving away spoilers All the drama seemed rushed and forced. In a show filled with Vampires it just seems like they could have waited a season or two to introduce werewolves.Even True Blood waited until it's third season to introduce Werewolves to the show. But it just seemed like in an effort to impress the audience, ABC ended up just boring me.Although I will continue watching due to the summer's reruns, I deem this show a DUD!

Wisteria lane Meets True Blood
Okay so there's this new show premiering at the end of the week called "The Gates".It's starring Rhona Mitra(the actress that starred in Underworld:Rise of the Lycans) and Frank Grillo of Prison Break. On ABC's official website they've got a 17 minute preview of the pilot which i found myself s guiltily watching.
Now from the title alone, You really can't tell it's a show based on the Supernatural. And from the opening scene i kinda had the feeling that it was just a show about a suburban family moving to a new neighborhood. But within the first 7 minutes the true plot thickened as Claire Radcliff the character that Rhona plays when she plunged her vampire fangs into a unexpected victim.
The show starts as a family from Chicago called the Monahans move to a quiet upscale perhaps made up neighborhood referred to The Gates. Nick Monahan(played by Frank Grillo)moves his family from Chicago to take a job as the chief police in a smaller, more family oriented town. The town seems normal until one of their neighbors is questioned in a missing persons case, The unexpected Housewife who turns out to be nothing other than a Vampire.
While this show doesn't seem to match the raciness and cast of colorful characters as my other favorite Vamp show True Blood, I still feel as though it's worth the watch. As it explores Vampires in a more Suburban setting hence my blog title"Wisteria Lane meets True Blood".There is sure to be some plot twists and drama mixed in when you're dealing with the "Oh so perfect suburbs".So Everyone has their little secrets. With the summer airing a whole bunch of reruns this is definitely a show I'll be watching.I hope it gets your help too!

A Steamy night of Vampires, Introduction to Werewolves and One Suicide attempt.....
A few days ago The world of Supernatural TV was blessed with the Season 3 premiere of True Blood. And like all their other fans I was glued to the program cancelling out any distractions like turning off my cell phone and not even stepping foot near my laptop. We've been waiting all year for this right? The premiere of the first episode of season 3 reminded me why only second to the CW's Supernatural, True Blood tops my ultimate favorite shows of this decade. Not only did they start with having sweaty hot Alexander Skarsgard(who plays Sexy former Viking Erik Northman)nude or shirtless in nearly every scene, but they explored the sexual idea of Sam Merlotte(played by Sam Trammel)fantasizing about Sookie's Vampire Lover Bill Compton, something you rarely see on TV these days even with the large gay community we have in the USA.While i could have done without the suicide attempt from Tara, the premiere was everything i wanted from a season premiere!!!!Tara needs to get over Eggs! She only knew him for a short amount of time and he was a bum.I just don't understand that plot line.Characters I'm dying for them to explore are Lafayette because he is just too hilarious and Erik's second wing Vixen Pam. For two seasons I've been waiting for her part to get bigger and finally in the 3rd season, they've added her name to the regular credits.Let's see how far they push the plot lines and sexual encounters in this exciting new season!!!

Introduction to my Favorite Horror & Fantasy Show
With the New season of True Blood airing tonight, I realized something no other genre on Television excites me like The Horror, Supernatural and Fantasy genre does!Other than the Musical show "Glee", I find most of my eyeballs glued to the shows that are so excitingly scary and filled with tons of Drama!!!What is it that excites me about the world of the Supernatural? Is it the insanely hot Vampires & Hunky Vigilantes? The links and references to Mythology and Gothic Fiction? Or is it the blend of Magic Realism with the bonds that the characters develop over the course of 12-22 episodes.Whatever it is, All i know is that every show I'm a fan of has me addicted week after week waiting for my next fix.Does anyone feel the same?
